MEMAN Announces the Passing of Mr. Thomas Obafemi Olawore

It is with deep sorrow that the Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN) announces the passing of our inaugural Executive Secretary, Mr. Thomas Obafemi Olawore.

Mr. Olawore played a foundational role in the formation of the association in 2003 and served with distinction for 17 years. Under his leadership, MEMAN (then MOMAN) navigated critical challenges, including fuel scarcity management, advocacy for sustainable fuel margins, and strengthening government–industry relations. He was instrumental in institutionalizing MEMAN as a credible voice for the downstream sector and a trusted partner in national energy policy.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Funeral arrangements will be shared by the family in due course.

May his soul rest in peace.

Signed,
Major Energies Marketers Association of Nigeria (MEMAN)
