Day 3 at Booth B4 was filled with high-level engagements and impactful discussions on MEMAN’s role in shaping Nigeria’s energy future. We were honored to host the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Sen. Heineken Lokpobiri Ph.D., who stopped by to discuss industry growth, investment, and collaboration.
We also had the privilege of welcoming MEMAN Chairman, Mr. Huub Stokman, and MEMAN CEO, Mr. Clement Isong, both of whom reinforced MEMAN’s commitment to innovation, capacity building, and sustainability through initiatives like the MEMAN Competency Centre. This groundbreaking centre remains a focal point for enhancing skills and expertise in Nigeria’s evolving energy sector.

We kicked off with a high-impact Opening Ceremony, where industry leaders, including Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas); Dr. Doris Uzoka-Anite MD, CFA, Minister of State for Finance; and HE Haitham Al Ghais, Secretary General of OPEC, shared key insights on shaping Africa’s energy future.

Food and Fuel: Debunking the Myths Around Ethanol Production in Nigeria 🇳🇬🌱⚡
Today, January 30, 2025, MEMAN, in collaboration with the U.S. Grains Council, convened key stakeholders—including the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Finance, the Nigeria Cassava Growers Association, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), and other agricultural leaders—to tackle the ongoing debate on ethanol production and food security.
MEMAN proudly participated in the Petroleum Industry Stakeholders Forum (PISF), hosted by the Ministry of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil) under the leadership of Hon. Heineken Lokpobiri on January 16, 2025, at the PTDF Conference Hall, Abuja.
The MEMAN Lagos Operations Committee (formerly Apapa Operations Committee) held its first meeting of the year yesterday, January 15, 2025, at the MEMAN Secretariat to discuss its 2025 strategic objectives.

This milestone event celebrated 25 years of resilience, innovation, and excellence in advancing Nigeria’s gas industry. Today, December 05, 2024, MEMAN hosted an in-depth solar training session led by Mr. Anthony Onyebuenyi, Chief Technical Officer of Tarana Energy, with special sessions from Mr. Omotayo Hassan, General Manager | Renewable Explorer at TotalEnergies Renewables DG Nigeria Limited, and Mr. Oreofe Oluwadare, Regional Business Development Manager, Renewable Energy at Sterling Bank.
Today, November 21, 2024, MEMAN held a collaborative meeting with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the new Lagos Sector Commander, CC Hamzat Ganiyu Kehinde, to discuss strengthening road safety and improving collaboration between both organisations.
MEMAN was honoured to contribute to discussions on balancing energy security and sustainability in Africa at the Energy Sustainability Conference 2024, hosted by the Energy Institute in collaboration with the MEMAN Competency Centre.

NLPGA rebrands as the Nigeria Liquefied and Compressed Gases Association (NLCGA), expanding its focus to include LNG, hydrogen, biogas, and CNG—marking an exciting new horizon for Nigeria’s gas industry. Attending the 14th NLCGA Conference and Exhibition was an honour, Mr. Godwin Jarikre, Head Supply, HSSEQ, and Technical at MEMAN, represented the MEMAN Chairman to deliver a goodwill message.
Nov 05, 2024. MEMAN marked the fourth anniversary of the NNPC Retail Ltd. Apapa tank farm fire with a safety drill at the NRL marshalling yard. Over a thousand participants, including community members, the PTD Union, and regulatory bodies, participated. Equipment from various clusters demonstrated mutual support, and MEMAN leaders commended the turnout. MEMAN Operations Manager Engr. Moses Okoh emphasized the quarterly drill strategy led by our CEO, reinforcing safety across clusters.

Lanke Dayo-Adepoju, standing in for CEO Mr. Clement Isong delivered a powerful keynote on “Expanding Nigeria’s Domestic Gas Market and Gas-based Industries: Strategies and Solutions”.
October 22, 2024, MEMAN held the inaugural meeting of its Retail Network Operations Committee, with Alhaji Abdullahi Umar of TotalEnergies Marketing Nigeria Plc emerging as the committee chairman.
The committee was established to provide strategic direction, oversight, and recommendations to enhance network operations across MEMAN.
